It’s almost that time of year again…and here at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU we’re counting down the days until we kick-off this year’s 12 Days of Holiday Cheer on Monday, December 2. As part of the initiative this year, we’re challenging all of you to help us #SpreadCheer. We will officially announce how you can be a part of the #SpreadCheer movement on our blog and Facebook page on December 2 (we have to have some secrets!).While we don’t want to give away all of the excitement just yet, we just have to tell you all about an exciting act of cheer already underway…The popular bloggers and authors, Young House Love, have generously offered to volunteer their time to warm up the Kiwanis family waiting room. This room is a place for the families of patients to relax in while their children are in the hospital. While most of us are looking forward to being home for the holidays, this room is where many families with children in the hospital will spend their holiday season.Check out a sneak peak of Young House Love’s ideas for the room and learn why they decided to help #SpreadCheer by giving back to families spending their holiday in the hospital this year. We’re also opening our Text-to-Donate option for the holiday season. We officially kick-off the 12 Days of Holiday Cheer on December 2, but beginning today, you can donate $10 to support children in the hospital by texting HEALTH to 50555. Thanks for your help in celebrating the season and advancing children’s health in Richmond!
